Samsung recently launched a Camera device, Samsung Galaxy Camera GC100, featuring Android 4.1 (Jellybean OS). It is first device have purely camera specs and it is also the first device to have all the mobile phone qualities yet it doesn't allow voice calls through GSM network.
Samung's Galaxy Camera GC100 is full fledged Camera running of Android Jellybean OS, and its camera specs are as follows :
16.3 Megapixel Camara with a resolution of 4609 x 3456 pixels, Autofocus, 21X Optical Zoom, Pop up Xenon Flash, AF Light, Wide angle 23 mm lens, Geo-tagging, Touch Focus, Face and Smile Detections, Optical Image Stabilization. It also supports video shooting at 1080p with 30 frames per second as well as 768 x 512 at 120 frames per second.
This are the qualities of a good DSLR Camera but by making the Camera run on Android OS, Samsung has just opened gates for a True Blue Camera cum Phone. For it has all the qualities of a smart phone including 3G, 4G(LTE) support etc. I don't understand why the Samsung Engineers didn't put voice calls through GSM network in the phone. Maybe it is a part of Samsung honchos' strategy.
Is this the future of mobile telephone. We will only know in the times to come. Please post your comments regarding this camera. Vijay Prabhu | |
