Pay Commission News
In continuation to my blog dated 24.2.2013, I have come across news reports and rumours floating around that the Government is going to grant an Interim Relief of upto 20% as a precursor to the constitution of 7th Pay Commission.
I again bring to the notice of the Central Government Employees that nothing of this sort will happen. The reason being that the Government doesn't have the will, the majority or the amount of money needed to give such kind of relief to the employees.
Further I also heard employees asking on various fora about the merging of Dearness Allowance with Pay on reaching 100 %. First of all, the DA would reach 100 % only in July 2014, and the Justice Srikrishna Commission on 6th Pay had emphatically ruled against the merger of DA which the Government had accepted while approving the 6th Pay Commission Report.
This are all rumours based on heresay and hypothesis like the one which floated in the 2010 regarding introduction of Grade Pay of 3200.00 between the 2800.00 and 4000.00 grade pays. While that seemed logical given the vast difference of 1200.00 between the two scales, the same did not materialize. Same way, there isn't any proof that Interim Relief or merger of DA may be on cards.
The merger is impossible but interim relief may be possible in the year 2016 that too, if the inflation goes through the roof. Expecting something foolhardy will only make the employees unhappy in the long run.
Please read the 6th CPC report carefully before asking any mergers etc.

ReplyDeleteBased on the fixation you have brought out that is basic+grade pay+ DA as on 01.01.2016 what will be the fixation for the one who's pay will be 13850+4200+21660(DA), if DA increases at the current rate which will climb up to 120% on 01.01.2016 and fitment benefit is around 2.0 to 2.20?
ReplyDeleteYes Mr.Jubin it will work out to a similar fitment rate. Your view is correct.
ReplyDeleteActually I wanted you to fix up the pay as on 01.01.2016
