This is in continuation to my Winning the Google Nexus 7 with KitKat contest a dream come true article which was very much appreciated by the readers and well as participants in the contest. I am writing this post to clear many a doubts which have come up in the minds of all the participants of the Nestle KitKat Contest. This post became necessary on two counts.
One of the reasons was the extension of the contest by Nestle. The Nestle today extended the contest upto 22nd November 2013. And in this five days it will be giving out 100 Google Nexus 7 2013. The reasons for this extension has not been given by Nestle but it can be safely assumed that these 140 Google Nexus 7 2013 tablets (100 + 40 are part of the original 1000 tablets but due to some reason the contestants/participants may not have been confirmed and/or they would not have sent the required documents to Google. Another reason may be that the Nestle couldnt verify the authenticity of such documents.
But do remember that Nestle/its agency GroupM made a call to each of the contestants whose documents had not reached Ms.Subarna Nandy. Some of the contestants have sent the documents through SpeedPost, the caller from GroupM had requested these winners to resend the documents alongwith a photocopy of the Nestle KITKAT wrapper, if available.
It is safe to assume that if you have not received such a call asking you to resend the documents from GroupM means that your documents are in order and Nestle will deliver the Google Nexus 2013.

I received this message today at 10.00 am in the morning. Further I also received a email from Nestle stating that the delivery will take place within next 6 to 8 weeks.
In this regard I would assume that the delivery process has been initiated by Nestle and we should our Google Nexus 2013 within the end of November. Those staying in remote areas may get it by mid December.
Another of the most asked question on the previous post was that which Google Nexus 2013 will Nestle give. In my opinion Nestle will give out the latest Google Nexus 7 2013 16GB. My belief comes from this image posted on the contest page.
In this image from Kitkats contest page, it is clear that the winners will be given a ALL NEW NEXUS 7 TABLET and you will be among the first 1000 to get it.
Others may have different opinions but I am going to stick with this one. I also think that the 6-8 weeks given by Nestle is a generalised maximum period so that anxiety does not set in among winners. Those staying in cities and Metros will get it earlier than those staying in remote places.
I would also like to thank my reader Manu Prasanna Kumar who went out of the way to answer the queries of readers. I would also like to thank a certain Anonymous visitor who sadly wants to remain anon, who time and again gave valuable comments on the readers queries. I hope both of you will continue helping out the readers as well as me.

On 18th Nov around 12:20pm i received sms from them that "This is to inform you that we have received your documents and they are upto mark..your gift will reach your doorstep after 15th november within 6-8 weeks..for queries you may contact 09555290764 regards nestle" received this sms from no 9953982601 ... so waiting for my Nexus 7 begins.. :d
i dont know if they r hellbent on recevng dox thru corier or regpost only as long as ndc etc etc reachs them.if there r problems thy r most likly to call u.nywys u hv oppurtunty to call them n confirm.

ReplyDeleteIf someone has won...the name would be there on the website...in max 3 days from sms sent date. I don't think they will endlessly call winners to get details/confirmation.
DeleteThe contest was started as a 50 day contest (27sep to 15nov) to select 20 N7 winners each day, that makes 50 X 20 = 1000 total max giveaway. But as you can see on the winners page, on an average most days its about 15-16-17 or 18 winners which falls short of 20 per day. This difference could be due two reasons:
Delete1. Winners didn't respond to call so disqualified.
2. For certain hour brackets no one in India sent sms'es :)
That is why Nestle extended the contest for few more days to select fresh winners. If just confirming the non-responding winners was the question, they wouldn't have extended the contest afterall and invited fresh sms from contestants. Correct me if I am wrong.

For instance take 27-Sep-2013, first day of contest, there are 13 winners on list; that would mean either remaining 7 are disqualified or Unverified or No Winners. ReplyDeletehearing from some winners who got this message...it looks like it takes one month since your winning sms date....beacuse I think they are sending out confirm sms as soon as the dox verification is over...the process seems serial rather than random sending.

DeleteI had the same issue as Deepak M.S. First time kitkat reps called me and said parcel was not received. When DTDC was showing it as received. I had then sent again through speed post and dtdc. Did not receive any confirmation for days even after asking them if it was received. After the contest ended i.e on 16th i got the confirmation email and sms.
ReplyDeleteKitkat reps did indicate to me that they receive huge no. parcels daily hence would take time to sort them out.

The representative said that i will recieve the next call in 48 hrs.. i havent recived any calls till time and tommorow is a sunday.. winners list is not updated also.. I will be at exams on monday.. so What to do? They should call today normally right? any way to contact them?

Deleteif you dont get a call today or tomorrow since its the weekend... mostly they'll call you on monday. when your writing your exam you may want to give ur phone to your dad or bro and make them speak to the executive, with your name... the second call is usually just confirmation of the address, email and stuff and they'll say that you'll receive an email by evening with the documents to be mailed. hopefully you'll get your call when the phone's in your hand!

DeleteI think BLUEDART is best for heavy shipments like laptops/electronic devices etc etc, but for docs there are cheaper yet reliable options.
confirmatory sms doesn't seem to come in serial order...on winner got it by 18 nov while he won on 6 nov. That was fast.
