If you have a iPhone, iPad or iPod Touch and had read by yesterday's Blog regarding Apps for sleeping aid, I hope and wish you had a good night's sleep and now you did be interested in carrying the noble way of meditation forward. Therefore today I will list the Apps which are breathing exercises. This ought to be tried when you are taking a quick break from work or have returned from a tough day at office or better still, in the first rays of the Sun at the start of the day.
1. Breathe2Relax. This App is free and includes videos of how to go into deep diaphragmatic breathing. You can inhale and exhale according the timer which lets you adjust the timing according to your need. This is a basic stress management version of the Pranayam Exercises.
The best part is this App is available for both iOS and Android.

2. The next one is Breathing Zone. This is available for $3.99 (Rs.220.00) This is a continuation of Breath2Relax and goes beyond basic to analyse your breathing patterns via your iPhone microphone (this facility is not available in Android devices, maybe thats why they are giving a discount, please see below). The App also has a visual guide on the screen shows you when to breathe in and breathe out to slow down your breathing. Alternatively, you can enable or disable a voice guide so you can focus on closing your eyes while breathing.. You can turn off the voice prompts and use a variety of traditional signalling sounds for inhalation and exhalation. You can adjust the session length between five and 30 minutes.

3. The next one is Breathe and Relax. This App costs $0.99(Rs.55.00) and is the advanced version of Breathe2Relax. This App trains you to breathe and relax through 30 sec breathing and awareness modes as well as a full 12 minute breathing exercise. The best part is you can set reminders in this App to remind you to use it.

Android users download the App here. Android users may kindly note that Android version of this App is known as Relax and Rest and may differ from iOS app. However the publisher for both Apps is the same company.
