Beta for phone lock passcode bypass flaw in iOS released by Apple

Beta for phone lock passcode bypass flaw in iOS released by Apple

Apple has released a fix for the phone lock passcode bypass that allowed the users to bypass the phone lock code after pressing certain buttons in perfect sync.  The new beta of iOS 6.1.3 has been released just for developers.

Apple has dubbed this release as iOS 6.1.3 beta 2 released this a a test beta after acknowledging the problems with the pass code last week.  The new release also offers some enhancement to the Japanese Maps.

This is the third release for the iOS version released on 28.12.2012.  It had earlier released a patch for iOS specifically for the iPhone 4S 3G problem.   After that, it quickly released a patch for battery drain bug caused by over synchronization between its mail servers with Microsoft Exchange servers.

As of now the iOS 6.1.3 beta 2 is available only for registered developers so if you are one, you can download it.  Another word of caution, you may not roll back to previous version of iOS if you download this update.  Further the readers at 9to5Mac have warned that this update could put an end to jailbreaking of iOS.  This is unconfirmed but may as well be true.

Other users have to wait till a fully tested update is released.
