One of my readers from United States, Iliara, has sent me a mail regarding this WebApp. Called Whooming, this App is particularly useful if you are being stalked or harassed by a unknown callers. The other apps available like Truecaller give you the identity of the callers but do nothing to stop the caller. Where others can't go, this App treads there. It takes over the call and gives the caller a pre-recorded message. Whats more, this App supports all mobiles and land lines in select countries.
If you are receiving unwanted calls, this is the App for you. Whooming is in test stage and hence it is offering its services for free. All you have to do is to program the App with your unwanted number. It will then receive the call on your behalf and make the caller listen to a pre-recorded message. You will receive a email of the calls made by the unknown person.
Further more it works on your landlines too. The only condition is that your service provider accepts conditional call forwarding. As of now this service is available in United States, United Kingdom, Spain, Italy, Greece, Switzerland and Romania.
