Most of use the WhatsApp, the most popular cross platform messaging App to send messages to our loved ones and friends. But an Activist from Mumbai used the WhatsApp in a slightly different way.
The Activist, Hasim Shaikh, a member of ALM in Mumbai had filed a complaint regarding alleged violations in a building, in which India's film star, Shah Rukh Khan has an office. Mr.Shaikh had obtained the information regarding the violations using Right to Information Act of 2005, and using it as evidence complained with the Bruhanmumbai Mahanagar Palika (BMC).
However, to his dismay he found out that the concerned officers were avoiding giving any reply to his complaint. He petitioned repeatedly with the officials. This went on for more than 15 days.
And guess what, the officials had visited the site for inspection and were floored by the presence of the Star on the premises. So allegedly they forgot their purpose of visit and started having a photo session with the star. But unfortunately for them, one of them, obviously very proudly decided to flaunt the image of him and the star, by setting it as a profile on WhatApp.
Mr.Shaikh who was continuously on the toes of the officials, yesterday wanted to send a reminded to the official via WhatsApp. And lo & behold, the profile picture showed him with the star.
I don't know what will happen next, but what amuses me is a very fact that a popular messaging App can't be used for purposes other than messaging. That's a first one for me and a news too. Which is why, I am sharing this with you. If you want to read the full story here.
